That's only partly true. Win 98 supports many devices that Win 95 does not.
Also, Win 2000 supports many devices not supported by Win NT. Many pointers
and keyboards are supported on older operating systems, but devices like
scanners, ethernet adapters, video capture cards, printers, USB microphones,
external storage devices, most likely will not work on NT or Win95. That's
why you hear terms like "added USB support" on the OS's product information.
A USB port won't work without software.
