Hello EASI folks,

I'm writing to find out what other colleges are doing regarding purchasing of textbooks and ensuring that the textbooks would be available in an accessible format, along with the websites that are now used as part of the textbooks, along with the CDs that are also part of the textbook purchase. We are trying to develop an updated policy to guide our instructors in textbook purchasing decisions which will be started on Thursday of this week.

Yes, this is last-minute notice as are most notices we received here at disability services. This update in policy has been requested by our math and computer science department which is wonderful. This means that our persistence is beginning to pay off and people are trying to be proactive rather than reactive and sending it back to us to solve the problems.

I would really appreciate any input anyone has as soon as possible. I have one more day to come up with their answer.

Thank you all, Penny Gray
