EASI Unveils National Center for Accessible E-learning Website
http://easi-elearn.org
The webcast is on the home page at http://www.rit.edu/~easi

EASI's second multimedia webcast this month describes the web for the
National Center for Accessible E-learning (ncae). Dick Banks and Norm
Coombs explain the need for a central place to help people locate all the
diverse work being done to make online learning systems more accessible.
For long, no one even cared. Now there is concern but the work is
fragmented. Coombs has been involved in teaching online since the early
1980s, and accessible e-learning has been a passion. Now that it is
starting to happen, EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information) wants
to provide a focus for the work and a clearinghouse for the information.

There will be an opportunity for your to talk with Banks and Coombs plus
with Burks and Urban from the previous multicast Saturday 21 at noon
Eastern, 11 Central, 10 Mountain and 9 am Pacific. On the webcast page are
links for you to test your mic and speakers. There is a mail link to
reserve a slot for the discussion. If you register, you will be sent the
url for the actual voice chat.

Webcast is linked to home page http://www.rit.edu/~easi
