WebCT 2002 Participation Proposals Due February 25, 2002 - Don't Delay!

Planning for the 4th Annual WebCT User Conference is in full swing. As
in the past, the conference will gather the full spectrum of WebCT
users, ranging from faculty to CIOs, instructional designers to
technical staff, from around the globe. The conference will include two
days of training and three days of insightful keynote speakers, 
intriguing breakout sessions, and innovative exhibitors. This year's 
conference theme is "IMPACT"; attendees will examine WebCT's IMPACT on 
the learning environment at institutions worldwide, evaluate how we 
measure this IMPACT, and discuss how we plan for success.

The heart and soul of WebCT conferences are the users. We invite you to 
make the most of your participation by submitting a proposal for any for

the following session types: 

*Paper: formal publishable paper and a one-hour conference presentation.

These sessions represent scholarly research or discovery, with
well-defined 
objectives and outcomes, suitable for publication in a refereed journal.


*Panel: 1.25-hour panel discussions representing a single topic.
Panelists 
may be from different campuses or represent a spectrum of voices from a 
single campus. Sessions consist of short presentations by each panelist 
(10 minutes) followed by a moderated discussion. 

*Showcase: 45-minute sessions showcasing a course or effective practice.

These highly interactive sessions provide an opportunity to demonstrate
a 
course, tools or effective practice (teaching and learning, professional

development, or technical method). 

*Roundtable: 1-hour breakout session representing issues relevant to 
communities of practice. These sessions provide an opportunity to
generate 
significant exchange of best practice. 

*Poster: 4' X 8' graphical presentation of a research finding, a model
of 
practice, or an online program.
