Jennifer -
In NC we have two - that I know of - on the National Register.  The
1887-1940 Raleigh Water Works and E. B. Bain Water Treatment Plant and
the
1920s Elizabeth City Water Treatment Plant.  Both are listed under local
significance and neither nomination goes beyond development of a local
context.  If you wish, I'd be glad to send you copies.
