Open your case and look for the pins where the wires from the power switch on the front of the case are plugged in.  Use one of those little jumpers like you find on drives or some PCI cards.  I can't tell you what, if any, harm this will do, but I wouldn't do it myself without some overhwhelming need for it.  A new power switch is cheap if that's the problem. If you have already unplugged the regular power switch from your mobo, you'll need your mobo manual to see where the + and - are for the power switch. I would not recommend doing it, and would advise you not to.
