Are the drives connnected to channel 0 on the mobo, or are they connected to the SIS 5513? If the SIS 5513 is causing the problem, just removing it in device manager won't do it. You need to then shutdown and physically remove it, then plug your hard drive cable into the channel 0 plug on your mobo. Windows whatever will install everything next time you startup.
