Waking up hungry is a good sign. Any increase in energy? -- except for the
energy that serves to urge you to get more food. Any feelings of warmth?
About how many calories are you eating? More or less than usual? Exercise the
same? Is your sleep the same or different?
I too have upped fat and lowered protein. Not sure yet but I may have lost a
couple of pounds. I think I have more energy. Get waves of heat sometimes --
but with me it might be hot flashes. (Women out there -- shouldn't our hot
flashes increase calorie burning?) Unlike you I feel 'full' hours after I eat
-- but then in order to get the ratio of fat/protein right, I have to add a
lot of fat. In this low fat world of ours I'm having difficulty even buying
cuts of beef or pork with any appreciable fat on them -- everything has been
trimmed so well. Relying a great deal on direct hits of butter, coconut oil
and cream, cream cheese, etc. May take up drinking olive oil the way the
people of Crete do -- read they often start their morning with a sizable
portion of olive oil straight! Calves brains would be a great high fat food
if one could find it.
Namaste, Liz
