Corn oil and the other so called "healthy" oils are grain
based and carry all the same problems that eating grain
does. They are also unbalanced in the kinds of fat
(saturated, monosaturated etc) required by the human body
for health. According to Ray's NEANDERTHIN, chapter 13 FAQ,
low fat diets actually raise LDL ("bad") cholesterol and
eating these vegetable oils that have been thickened by
hydrogenation ("trans-fatty acids") makes it go even
higher. In his chapter on diet tips, Ray says it is also
carcinogenic.

Believe you are thinking of B12. Ray says: "the human body
cannot synthesize vitamin B12, and in nature, we can meet
our B12 requirements only by eating meat."
