Boutique farmers in the U.S. are returning to feeding their livestock only
grass, which is Paleo eating for sheep and cows.  These farmers  are
stressing the health and environmental benefits of doing so, including the
Omega-3 advantages of grass-fed beef.  Apparently modern American strains,
bred for fattening up in feedlots, will have to be replaced or bred with
strains from Europe which are still genetically suited to thrive on natural
grazing:

You really have to wonder what agricultural "scientists" in the 20th Century
were thinking when they corrupted our food supply in the name of economic
efficiency.
