I'm new to this list and so I thought I would introduce myself. My name
is Sarah. For the past few years I'm been searching for a healthy way
of eating (and losing weight as I have about 60+ lbs to lose to get into
a more healthy weight range. I also have no delusions of being skinny
because of my bone structure - seriously!! When you hold up a pair of
size 8 pants and they don't cover your hip bones you know you're never
going to be a size 8!)) Anyway, I like the idea of eating foods as they
are basically found in nature. I have also gotten to the point where I
get protein cravings and basically know when I'm not getting enough
protein - which I know is a good thing! My problem is that I don't have
a kitchen or a refrigerator. I'm staying at a friend of a friend's
aunt's house and really don't have access (unless I want to battle the
dogs and I really don't feel like it or have the time to!). I work in a
bookstore and basically am eating off microwaved food and salads I can
pick up from the grocery store and stuff. Occasionally I go for fast
food, but that is rather rare! Any suggestions on what I can eat for
meals that are easy and don't require a lot of cooking in an oven,
stove, or refrigeration (unless at work - but I work 5 days in a row
with Thurs and Fridays of so I can keep things in that refridge). Oh
yeah, I do have an indoor grill (like a George Foreman) which I use
occasionally. Like I said, I'm new to this diet and am looking for
ideas and suggestions! :)
