Yep; that's probably exactly what they mean. This is why definitions like
"organic" and "free-range" may mean relatively little. They're hard to
acheive in terms of certification, since they require inspections over a
period of many generations, and thus are likely to go to suppliers
interested in capitalizing on the cachet of the term. There are ever so
many small suppliers who do better than the certified guys, letting their
cows graze and their chickens run truly free. Shop around...
