 Oh, but if I implied that he was one of the blokes getting sacked, I'm
sorry.  He's a materiel/logistics manager--couldn't spell IBM if his life
depended on it!

Hang loose Kyle. This guy is just not that good at accepting change!!
I reckon you've done everything about right, reported the facts,
refused to sign an affidavit (armed with whatever info you gave them
a good psych will get him to repeat it during the eval - they
shouldn't need you). I do feel for the bloke though, change is tough,
particularly in IT where there is a temptation to base your self
worth on the depth of your knowledge on one particular system. When
that system becomes obsolete, you go from someone sought out for your
knowledge, to a backwater dinosaur - its tough. ;-)
