If you just want to read text or web pages, you could try something
a lot more simple to operate than Jaws, namely WordAloud.
WordAloud has sticky keys built in, for shift and control, which is
all you need to access all the WordAloud keyboard functions.
However, the basic operation is just with the four cursor keys,
for navigation within a document or page.
On the other hand, if you can't use a keyboard, but can use a mouse,
WordAloud can be operated entirely by point and click.
WordAloud has dual output modality as well as dual input modality.
There is a word-at-a-time display which can be synchronised with speech.
Indeed WordAloud was designed for Universal Access.
You can download a free evaluation version from www.wordaloud.co.uk.
