Well, it is very unlikely it's the hard disk drive parameters defined in
the BIOS. It sounds like this is a symptom that the processor voltage
is too low. Make sure the V-core value is set to run at 1.75 V.
If you are overclocking, you probably are required to increase
the V-core value to at least +0.075V. Then if it's stable, but the
processor temp is rather high, you must make sure you have adequate
cooling.
