I've had trouble with mold growing on videotapes in Samoa. The
humidity is such that tapes and disks need special storage. Once
you try to read a moldy tape or disk, you usually need to clean
the heads before anything else will read properly.

Crack open the diskette case and wipe both sides of the disk
with a clean, dry towel. Put the diskette back together and try it again.
Be careful not to lose the write-protect button ....
