Ebi;
It sounds like you are not getting the memory modules seated  in the slots
correctly.
the beeps are a diagnostic feature of the motherboard to signal no memory or
incorrect memory.
Try re-seating the memory, making sure it clips in fully.
You can clean the contacts on the modules with a pencil eraser
make sure you clean off all the eraser residue before installing.
You may have to remove some cables to better see what you are doing.
It is possible your new memory is the wrong type and will give and error
even if
fully seated.
