Hi Steve,
Actually, we have had poorer laws, but the current federal govenment
contacted a number of organizations and support groups involved in food
allergies and intolerances, asking for their input into new legislation. The
Canadian Celiac Association contributed to the new statute which requires
greater disclosure from food manufacturers. The unfortunate element of the
new (proposed?) legislation is that it does not require disclosure of the
ingredients of ingredients.
I am not sure if it has passed into law, yet, or if it is in the offing.
Nonetheless, I am very pleased with the bulk of what I have read.
