A woman who ran for East Lansing City Council in 1977, a former manager of an upscale dress shop, was described during the campaign in the MSU State
News as "an erstwhile clothes horse."

She narrowly lost the election, and years later, still nursed a grudge over that characterization.

Would she have preferred to have been called a current clothes horse?

My question was how it came to pass that the Pirate has given up stonemasonry. Did he give it up to become a freemason, a carpenter, a skunk milker, a 3 card monte mogul, a brownnoser, a Republican, all of the above, or what?

Ex-yout' still wants ta know.
