Hello everyone - I have been struggling with a nasty DSL modem for a while.
It keeps dropping off so that I am unable to connect to the internet or my
mail. The shop where I got it (and took it back for evaluation) claim that
it is fine but it is not. I am using win98se, and a Gnet DSL modem.
Originally I routed through a gateway and then into the modem but the last
time I called them, they said to go directly from my PC to the DSL. I've
checked all my phone lines and even changed the phone line configuration. I
got on for a little while and then it dropped while I was on line. What are
the possible reasons for this problem? The shop claims I am the only one
having this problem. All ideas welcome. Thanks. Dianne
