Hello everybody
A colleague has asked me to fix his PC. It is a Compaq Presario CDS 860 running with Win 95.
On loading, Windows displays information about a display settings problem & the display properties dialoge box opens. When closed a message suggests re-booting to apply changes. however, this only results in the same display settings error message appearing again.
If the display error is ignored and Win loading is continued, messages then display stating that LOADWC.EXE is linked to a missing export SHLWAPI.DLL.winsprintfA followed by a further message stating that the DLL file MSVCIRT.DLL has not been found.
I haven't a clue what to do about all this and I would greatly appreciate any help.
Best wishes
Graham Peak.
