Hi,

Dolphin Computer Access has released version 5 of Lunar, LunarPlus, Hal
and Supernova on November 30, 2001.
It is strange, that on that same date beta 12 of the same product was
released for the beta testers.

Lunar is a professional screen magnifier, that magnifies from 2 to 32
times.
LunarPlus adds speech to Lunar.
Hal is the screen reader from Dolphin for access via speech and braille
display.
Supernova combines screen reading and screen magnification in one
package.

New features in version 5:

- Version 5 runs on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 and Windows XP. There are
no longe separate version for Windows 95/98/ME and Windows NT/2000.

- Better access to reading web pages via Internet Explorer. After a page
is loaded in Internet Explorer the so called virtual focus automatically
is activated and allow the user to read the page by cursoring through
the web page. The feature include automatic page scroll.
Tables in web pages are now read correct, like we already know from Jaws
and Window-Eyes.
In the latest beta version I saw reading pages with a braille display
was not always correct. On a lot of pages auto scrolling does not work
and on some pages text isn't displayed at all on the braille display.

- Version 5 includes an Update via Internet features, that let hte user
easily look for updates.

- Map files are now used to make individual programs accessible. Each
map file can include its own hotkeys.
The concept of map files make programs, that were difficult to access in
earlier versions of Dolphin products, more accessible.

- There are now standard and professional versions of Hal and Supernova.
The professional version includes the possibility to create own map
files.

AiSquared has announced the release of ZoomText 7.1 and Bigshot 2.1 in
mid-december.
ZoomText is the market leading professional screen magnifiers for all
Windows operating systems. BigShot is the magnification solution for
people who need magnification between 1 and 2 times.

New in ZoomText Xtra 7.1:

- Full support for Windows XP;
- IBM ViaVoice speech synthesizer;
- Interface for Dragon's naturally speaking;
- Support for Java applications.
