I have heard from a number of people that Norton System Works is a bad puppy, and that it causes a lot of crashes.  I would suggest that you not reinstall it.  I used to have Ontrack's Fixit 99 and 2000.  The Defragmenter Plus app in it killed my whole operating system.  I no longer use these programs.  I purchased Goback about 3 years ago, and whenever I have a problem I just revert my hard drive to a time that everything worked. You can get it online for as cheap as $39.95. It now belongs to Roxio (Adaptec), and you should get Goback 3 Deluxe.

This happens over and over. I direct Nortons to repair the problem and a little while later the problem is there again. I also keep getting a crash message telling me that my program manager has crashed and nortons repairs that problem and a few minutes later the problem comes back. I have formated the hard drive and started over twice. This time I did not install Nortons system works and the computer is working well. I want to put Nortons back on but It seems to me that nortons is the problem all together? I know nothing about Registry issues. Does any one have any advice? Thanks
