A little more info on what your hardare configuration would be helpful along
with any hardware changes you may have recently made .

indicted and under "com ports" there is no problem indicated and the
comment is that there are no conflicts.
I am using a Microsoft PS2 mouse.
yet, when I attach a serial cable to com port 1 the mouse cursor is
frozen!!
As soon as I take the cable out the mouse again works.
I am aware that 3F8 is an address used by com1.
Can any kind person give a clue as to how to rectify this conundrum?
