Hi,

I have a laptop which I am trying to link up to my desktop computer to
exchange information.

Both the laptop and desktop have windows 2000 on them. I want to use a lap
link cable to do this. I have tried setting up the necessary connections
within the network section of control panel and specified the laptop to be
"guest". When I try and connect the laptop to the desktop it says that the
connection is established but I can't find on either computer my laptop or
desktop hard drive icons.

Please could someone tell me or direct me to clear instructions as to the
correct way to setup this connection.

Many thanks,

Paul.
