This is my experience also. I have been on many diets including vegetarian,
macrobiotic etc. but I still carried my weight or lost it and regained it. I
was sick all the time.
For the last three years I have been on the Paleo way of eating about 900 to
1500 calories and have lost 140 pounds. I am no longer sick. I feel great,
like a new person. I never want to go back to a grain based diet.
