I am pleased to report that the pond I view from my window is ice free and has
been for four days. We had very little "S" this week and it did not last through
the day. The downside is...well, down stream. My guess is that Iowans and
Northwestern Minnesotans would prefer that my pond stayed frozen until August and
that I had no need of a lawnmower at all. But those folks are just insensitive,
not mellow and thoughtful like me at all. Odd that this sort of mood disappears
about as fast as the mist on the pond.

Back to real life.
