Subject: Sad News
I am very sad to have to pass along the news that long-time Federationist
Tim Cranmer has passed away. It apparently happened at approximately 11:30
a.m. on Thursday Nov. 15th.

Tim had a long and illustrious career, and was directly or indirectly
responsible for developing many of the blindness-related devices we use
every day, including the abacus, personal Braille embossers, and the
Braille 'n Speak. Tim was also an ardent supporter of Braille!
