You know, I've toyed with the idea of getting a vanity call, at least
changing KB5ELV to K5ELV. I just can't bring myself to do it. Couple
reasons; everyone else is doing it, trading in their assigned calls
for their initials, or something that starts with a W or a K (1X3), so
now you don't know how long anyone's been a ham anymore, not that
that's important cause it isn't, only interesting. I mean, it sure
seems like no one keeps their calls anymore. I figure in another 20
years or so, a KB5something call will be pretty rare! But more
importantly, I'e gotten sort o attached to this one after 14 years,
and I just really don't know if I could get used to another one. I
guess I could, just I think I'd miss my old one, even if it is one
letter longer.
