I can't get my printer, NEC SuperScript 660p, to work. After installing
the driver, nothing shows in Printers folder, Win98. I've tried
uninstalling and reinstalling driver a number of times, starting from
Add Printers in Printer folder, starting from Add New Hardware in Control
Panel, and just running setup from mfr driver disk. All same result. Each
installation ends with message installation was successful, but no
printer shows in Printers folder. Trying to print results in message no
printer installed, even though printer driver is present on hard drive.
Printer is on one of two computers networked, but I have always had
printer as local installation. I do not know if it would be better to
have printer installed as network printer, or how to do that. To print
now I have to unconnect printer to subject computer and connect to second
computer. I want printer connected and work from subject computer, as
that is main computer.
