Does anyone know of any reason(s) that the exterior stucco on a chimney
should not be painted? For purely aesthetic reasons, I would like to match
the currently light gray color stucco to the forest green trim on the house.

If this should not be done, please describe why. If it is fine to do,
should oil-based paint be used and what special preparation is necessary.

Thanks.
