The cerebral palsy lady
Is a very dear friend of mine,
With eyes that sparkle and dance
And a smile that fills the room.
Her eyes are dark and mysterious,
No words need she say
Her spirit touches me and
Her warm hands caress me
in my troubled times.
She's a mountain climber,
A protest marcher,
A whirling dancer,
A loving mother…
Even though her body shakes and twists
And her words don't come out so clearly,
Nothing's going to stop this lady
From living her dreams, living her life.
"Please see beyond this body
and look deep inside my soul,
love me as I am,
or love me not at all."
So sings the Cerebral Palsy lady
On a cold rainy day.
The Cerebral Palsy lady
Is looking for somebody,
Yes she's looking for somebody
Somebody to love,
Somebody who can love her
Just the way she is.
The Cerebral Palsy lady loves
to kiss and hug,
and she can do everything else
that other women do…
(like screw)
Laughter comes so easily
To the Cerebral Palsy lady
She's kind and sensitive,
with wisdom beyond her years,
for her spirit is as old,
as the soul in these lovely hills.
The Cerebral Palsy lady,
Has so much love inside,
How can you resist
Loving the Cerebral Palsy lady
And loving her just the way she is?
