What you need to do I found is only monitor the amateur bands on the (a)
band or on the low beep when you press the 3 key.
I got so frustrated with that that I sold the first one I had.
Thinking that the problem was corrected, I bought a second one and, the same
situation accured.
So, I am now using an ICOM W32A and it works great.
