In short, you have been had.  It is not uncommon for someone to send a
virus alert which suggests that you have a virus and instructs you to
delete it.  The result is that you delete a vital system file.  Always
check some reliable virus detection programs or your operating system
technical support staff before deleting a fille or forwarding a virus alert
you received.  You are lucky because there iis a fix for this one as noted
in the next response.
