Yes, it's a pretty beefy radio.  It runs on 13.8 volts, but it is the size
of a large HF rig.  Has a lot of the features of an HF rig, too.  That's
probably why I like it so much--they put a decent front end and i-f section
in it.  I know it's probably not as portable as you would like, but it is
great for weak signal work on 2m and 70 cm.  And there is a 23 cm option
for it, too.
