Love those crystal rigs,   You could put them anywhere.  I seem to recall that some let you bridge a transmit and rx crystal but some had different schemes for tx and rx so you could not interchange.  I have been impressed with the vx5 being able to set one transmit and rx frequency in completely different bands if you want.  Now when Saudi sat so41 flies over I am ready grin.....

Have not heard it yet however.
