Rad shack hasn't made them in probably about 4 years now but I'll tell you I
love mine, I paid $75 for it on ebay in mint condition. Thing you have to
watch is, most people sell them with out the charger for the rechargeable
battery pack and those are a bit hard to get but there is a desk charger you
can order through rad shack and I like that desk charger and the aa pack
works good too, I've had the same aa's in mine since late July. I don't use
it every day but I would say I use it at least once every other week usually
more then that so I don't worry about chargeable packs, I have 3 of those
ni/cad packs and 1 more on my HTX-404, those radios get incredible battery
life by what I am used to.
