I did not say that the counter that Jeffery had mentioned talked.  I think that it did not in fact do so.  Unfortunately, these puppies are probably going to be a bit expensive.  II wonder if you could get one with a serial output you could design an interface to feed a BNS or the like and use that as the speech output or for that matter braille?

I must have missed the info on the counters, or i'm not getting all the
messages.  I didn't know there were talking counters around any more.  I
saw something on one new counter, but didn't see any mention of it
talking.
