That was what was so frustrating at our site. I've held leadership
positions in the past, been president of a couple of clubs and certainly
participated in club events and this kind of reaction just ticks me off.

our group doesn't seem to be that way. I am president of the Delta =
Amateur Radio Club in Memphis TN this year and had the opportunity to =
select the field day chairperson. kg4kcw Steve did a great job of =
setting things up. I spent all 24 hours at the site most of them awake. =
In addition to the usual field day activities we had an emergency =
services fair with exhibits by the fire dept, ambulance service, Tn task =
force, police dept, dot emergency roadside rescue, and the air wing =
helicopter. It was great to get to know some of these people and make =
some contacts within their departments. One of our hams also barbequed =
pork shoulders and we feasted on Saturday night. =20
