They can be installed, but, I'm not sure what is involved.

You may also want to contact Kenwood to see if your 570 is one which needs a
circuit upgrade.  Some of the early models had a problem draining the
battery too quickly.  Kenwood has a modification for these radios.  At
least, I think they still have one.
