I'm not sure what you meant, but I'll say this:

I think that devotion to one's country takes different forms for different
people.  For some, it means supporting anything that your government does,
right or wrong.  For others, it is a love of the land or the people.  Still
others may love their country for giving them a better shot at life than
they had somewhere else.  Perhaps, most of all, it hinges on how one defines
"country".
