True, Dori!  What really irritated me about this study was the media
coverage.  On a local Toronto news station, they showed footage of a
very bored-looking man eating a large bowl of coarsely chopped veggies
& nuts (exactly as shown in the ABCnews photo).  He said he was sick of
eating like that.  Of course he was.  I would be too.  Then, after the
reporter described how dramatically the diet lowered cholesterol
levels, she concluded that it didn't mean that one should go and eat
"like a caveman".  Not at all.  What it meant, apparently, is that one
should eat "healthily" according to the Canada Food Guide.  So what the
media coverage did, effectively, was to show how unappetizing (their
version of) the "caveman diet" was, and then somehow make it proof we
should eat SAD.

It reminded me of the recent rash of books & articles that espousing a
"caveman diet" comprised of whole grains, fruit, veggies, and low-fat
white meat.
