With all of the emphasis on computers in schools you would thing that hex,
octal and binary would be taught in the U.S. public schools. From what I've
seen, though, kids are being taught to be "users" instead of having an
understanding of how low-level code works. There are very few assembly
language coders out there, and the numbers are dwindling rapidly. What do
you expect, though, from a profession that prefers MacOS over DOS/Windows?
