I did not read start of this thread. What is MY COMPUTER>HARDWARE?
Control Panel/Add New Hardware? Do you have driver that came with sound
card? It seems hardware is not found, and that Windows may not find
hardware with update as well.
Presuming you have driver, I have installed ISA soundcard, purportedly
plug-n-play, that would not install plug-n-play, Win98, using Win3.1
command, thus
Start, Run, d:\win31\setup, where "d": is CD ROM, "win31" is folder on
hardware software, and "setup" is install command.
