I suppose you could eat plaintain, but I don't think they are particularly
tasty.  Wild dandelion, wild lambs quarters and wild mustard (called yellow
rocket) are tastier, IMHO...

If you ever get a hornet bite, bee sting, or poison ivy, take fresh plaintain
leaves, chew them into a green wet mush, and slap it right on the skin.
That's one good use for the leaves.....
