I actually have this clock! I saw it some time ago in
a local Target store (It's similar to Walmart or K-Mart) and
bought it. I can't remember off hand the name, but I THINK
it's made by Remington. I set my alarm, say, for 4:30 am. At
4:00 am, the light on it comes on gradually, at 4:15 it can (if
you want) have various sounds play, like chirping birds, ocean
waves, etc. Then at 4:30 the beep sound comes on. The light
becomes its brightest at 4:30 when the beeper goes off.
