Hi Chris,

From my numerous years of experience using JAWS on a laptop, I can tell you
it is a little bit of a pain but this is offset by the portability factor.
I think you need to examine the value of portability verses a more limited
keyboard.  Personally, I purchased a plug-in number pad to use when I need
or want to emulate a full desktop keyboard.  I think it cost around $30 and
just plugged right in and works great.
