Has anybody had problems when upgrading from WIN 98 SE to
WIN 2K Pro. I have downloaded and applied all of the patches from
the update report. The computer freezes at the completion of the
update report. Before I shut down Norton 2000 and Zonealarm Pro.
It then hangs up at 48% of the drive scan function. I tried several
times always at 48%. I did a thorough scandisk,which fixed all
problems.  It now will not get past the update report no matter what
I try.The computer is a AMD 1 Ghz with 256 Mb of ECC memory.
The CD does not address this problem. The Microsoft site merely
has the problem asked, it has no links or solutions?
