what are you booting from, a floppy or the harddrive?
If you booting from the harddrive, you might have to manually load (in
config.sys)
the memory management himem.sys & emm386.exe.

Hi All,

The basics;
A friends Fujitsu Monte Carlo Notebook
P 100
38 Meg ram on board
800 (?) Meg hard drive
Windoze 98 SE

Computer slowed down badly when 98 SE was installed by another friend of
his. There's about 80 meg left on hard drive. My personal feeling is
that computer is working too hard with Win 98. I'm trying to reinstall
95 osr 2 on it and create a partition for swap file. When I try to
format it, I get "insufficient memory to load system files." What am I
doing wrong?
