The "key", according to the author, is to keep the
weight lifting portion veeeery brief - less than 20
minutes maximum. He also recommends low reps and lots
of rest between sets, which means the total number of
sets will likely not exceed six. His reasoning for
brevity is sound (that paleo's probably exerted
themselves tremendously for short periods of time),
but I'm not sure about his recommendations regarding
scheduling bodyparts or how often to train. Seems to
me that there would have been no weekly schedule
("Ugh. Have lifted carcass today so need rest two
days"), and it's likely certain bodyparts could have
been stressed daily. (And aren't barbell/dumbell curls
an 'isolation' exercise - especially when compared to
chins?).

Personally, I think if you really wanted to duplicate
the movements of paleos, sandbag training would be the
way to go.

The diet recommendations seem reasonable, but may be
too low in fat and too high in carbs for some.
